Hey friends, we’ve got a great week of specials from Mrs. Clélie’s kitchen. Here’s what’s cooking for you this week: shrimp étouffée,  sandwich and wrap Wednesdays, and shredded pork enchiladas  We’ll have our very own creamy potato soup available all week!

Please keep in your prayers all the victims and their families from the Las Vegas tragedy. And, please continue praying for all the victims and workers as they recover from Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria.

What We’re Cooking for You This Week

If you can’t make it for lunch, let us cook supper for you! Please give us a call at 267-4457, we’ll set aside some supper for you of our lunch special for the day, and you can pick it up at the shop after lunch service.

Shrimp étouffée with rice ($15). Shrimp lovingly cooked with the tasty trinity veggies, a light roux, and delectable Cajun spices in a delicious sauce served over Louisiana rice will make you boogie up and down the street. “My wife was in labor with our first child. Things were going pretty well when suddenly she began to shout, ‘Shouldn’t, wouldn’t, couldn’t, wouldn’t, didn’t, can’t!’ ‘Doctor, what’s wrong with my wife?’ ‘Nothing,’ he replied, ‘She’s having contractions.'”

Sandwich & Wrap Wednesday, October 4, 2017

Sandwiches and wraps Wednesdays! We’ll have all our sandwiches and wraps available for lunch on Wednesdays. We’ve got a new salad you can try: our muffuletta salad! Comes with our mixed romaine and spring mix, purple onions, tomatoes and house dressing topped with genoa salami, pepperoni, smoked ham, swiss cheese, and our very own olive spread. “Psychiatry students were in their Emotional Extremes class. ‘Let’s set some parameters,’ the professor said. ‘What’s the opposite of joy?’ he asked one student. ‘Sadness,’ he replied. ‘The opposite of depression?’ he asked another student. ‘Elation,’ he replied. ‘The opposite of woe?’ the prof asked a young woman from Texas. The Texan replied, ‘Sir, I believe that would be giddyup.'”

Shredded pork enchiladas, Spanish rice,  and charro black beans. Shredded pork loin with a house made enchilada sauce lovingly wrapped in thick corn tortillas will help you rethink “pigs in a blanket.” Comes with our own Spanish rice cooked with tomatoes, green chilis, and our own charro black beans. “You might be a redneck if you think the last words to the ‘Star-Spangled Banner’ are ‘Gentlemen, start your engines.'” And, “I saw two dogs walk over to a parking meter. First Fridays Steak and Seafood Night, November 3

Hey friends, thanks for joining us on the first Friday of the month with a specially prepared meals just for you! Because of a heavy catering schedule in October and Clélie attending course of study school as a local pastor, we’ll host our next Friday Night Steak and Seafood on Friday, November 3, 2017. We’ll start seating at 5:30pm, and you may bring your own wine or beer. These nights are reservation only, so please make your reservations at (318) 267-4457 as soon as possible. We look forward to seeing you at the table!
